Background and Interests
Arka Khorchidian of Geneva, Switzerland is a student studying technology, with the intention of attending university for electrical engineering. Arka has had a passion for technology since he was young, earning him the reputation of being the “tech guy” in his family. He has always enjoyed tinkering with household devices, learning how they work and how they are built. Arka has an interest in not only discovering how current technology works, but also adapting current pieces of tech into new devices with different results.
As Arka Khorchidian grew older and began to consider his options after high school, he decided that a technical field would be ideal for him. He has had the opportunity to delve into these fields already, studying maths, physics, computer science, and multiple coding languages (including Python, Javascript, HTML, and Swift). Through his time mastering these skills, he realized that his natural aptitude for them would suit him well in tech.
Education and Future Plans
Thus, Arka determined his best path forward would be to study electrical engineering. Due to the many possibilities for career paths through electrical engineering, Arka decided that this would be a great way to hone his skills, learn new ones, and then narrow down his ultimate career path after some time exploring the field at large.
Arka Khorchidian is excited to see what the future of his education holds. As a student in the International Baccalaureate program, Arka was able to study a higher level of education, which he looks forward to applying to his collegiate studies. He credits much of his critical thinking skills to his time in the program. Arka is interested in the challenges that college may present to him, however, and he appreciates the opportunity to grow and develop as a young adult.
Arka Khorchidian is not sure exactly where his life and studies will take him in the future, but he keeps an open mind to any option presented to him. To Arka, it is important to keep doors open and explore all opportunities before deciding which one is best. He plans to compare and contrast all available options before choosing a program that suits his needs and his future goals. Although Arka may not have his university plans or his ultimate career path nailed down, he is continuing to add skills to his resume and learn as much as he can every day. Arka believes that the best path to success is continued growth.
